I got a SIRIUS radio for my birthday. Its been great but now I have this bad habit of listening to Fox News Radio. Well just for a few minutes before I start to feel my brain cells dying off.
Anyways, I picked up a few moments of the John Gibson show on Fox News sometime this week. Gibson is best known for mocking Health Ledger’s death on his now cancelled TV show after the actor’s death. He also urged white Americans to “make more babies” because in “[t]wenty-five years … the majority of the population is Hispanic.
Anyway, the talk that day was about the $700 bailout. And guess who was to blame?
Yep, you guessed it. Poor Black people! I haven’t been able to find anything on the Internet about the radio show I heard, but it looks like Fox News has been spinning this view all week.
Neil Cavuto on Fox News said this sometime last week, “Fannie and Freddie are a disaster. Loaning to minorities and risky folks is a disaster.” The Fox News website also has an editorial from John Lott, Jr. Back In April, he wrote that the recession was a media myth. Wrong on that, he is now blaming poor (read black) people. I also got a youtube video propagating this lie, but it has now been taken down due to some sort of copyright infringement.
It also looks like conservative pundit Larry Kudlow was trying to spin this on MSNBC. Check out the video below:
