Indy Star Article about Lockerbie Central

In a sense, the heavy traffic from that mixture of art, music, film and the homeless makes Lockerbie Central perhaps the busiest church in danger of dying in Indianapolis.

from the Indianapolis Star, metro section, B-1, August 3, 2008.

The Star ran a front page METRO section article last Sunday about Lockerbie Central United Methodist. I am the layleader at this struggling but vibrant church in downtown Indianapolis. The story appeared on the front page of the METRO section in the newspaper and it seems that everyone I know read the article. Good stuff.

The journalist, Robert King, who covers the religion beat for the Star did a nice job. He didn’t get all the details exactly right and his take on the future of the church was a bit more doomsday-ish than reality. Anyway, we will definitely take the publicity.
