Please not Bayh.

In These Times had their take on Evan Bayh as a Vice Presididential canidiate. Speculation earlier this week was that he would be Obama’s choice.

I’m not a big fan of Bayh–his dad Senator Birch Bayh was much cooler and a real progressive–but atleast Indiana would have a good shot at going Democratic for the first time since 1964.

Here is what Bayh said in 2002 about the Iraq War, from In These Times:

“The majority of the American people tend to trust the Republican Party more on issues involving national security and defense than they do the Democratic Party. We need to work to improve our image on that score by taking a more aggressive posture with regard to Iraq, empowering the president.”
